Young Artists Shine in Discover La Digue Logo Contest: Holy Innocents Students Showcase 11 Creative Designs

As part of the Inaugural Student Award Ceremony, the Discover La Digue Enrichment Organization proudly recognized the creativity of young minds from Holy Innocents Anglican School through its much-anticipated Logo Contest. This special competition invited students to design a logo that captured the organization’s vision of leadership, diversity, innovation, growth, unity, and empowerment.

The contest drew 11 impressive entries, each sketched by hand and brimming with originality. The participants — D’Asia Alexander, Laureal Boatswain, Nathan Braveboy, Jordan Buckmire, Kentisha DeGale, Kimya Gibbs, Walter Joseph, Lemar Mark, Ocarchia Mitchell, Jewel Persue, and Sameul Smart — poured their creativity into designs that ranged from bold, symbolic shields to clever imagery like the power of an idea represented by a glowing lightbulb.

First Discover La Digue Awards Spotlight Student talent

All 11 designs were proudly displayed at the ceremony, allowing attendees to admire the students’ artistic interpretations side-by-side. Among them, D’Asia Alexander’s design stood out for its clarity, symbolism, and visual impact, earning her first place.

As the winner, D’Asia received a brand-new laptop — a tool to help her excel in school assignments and to encourage even more creative projects — along with other special gifts.

This initiative was not only a showcase of student artistry but also a heartfelt tribute to Holy Innocents Anglican School for fostering such talent and imagination. The contest left a lasting impression, proving that La Digue’s youth have both the vision and the talent to shape the island’s identity for years to come.
